From Healing to Agency
From Recovery to Leadership
WHY WOMEN
A society cannot be rebuilt if its foundation remains fractured by trauma of war. Investing in women survivors is a strategic necessity for national recovery, as they often remain the singular economic force rebuilding the social fabric after the frontlines have claimed the lives of men.
A woman healed of psychological trauma is the most powerful architect of a stable society.
She does not just rebuild her home, she rebuilds the peace.
Why ONA?
With your support, ONA empowers women to overcome the trauma of war, reclaim their economic power, and pioneer the macroeconomic rebirth of their homeland
ONA is a forward-thinking development foundation rather than just a temporary crisis-response unit. We specifically address the demographic shift of a post-conflict economy and mobilise it toward the nation’s macroeconomic reconstruction through our unique
Fund & Foster Hybrid Model

The Ripple Effect?
Sustainable Empowerment
For every woman who completes our program, an average of 4 children return to school and 1 new micro-business is born
Our Mission

ONA Foundation exists to bridge the gap between psychological recovery and the total reconstruction of societies torn by war. We are dedicated to the profound healing of women survivors, providing the critical trauma care necessary to transform pain into power. Once whole, we arm them with the resources and economic power to lead the transformation of their nations from the ground up. The devastation of war often leaves a vacuum in traditional leadership; as men are lost to the front lines or incapacitated by the violence of conflict , the weight of rebuilding entire nations falls squarely into the hands of women who become the pivotal economic contributors. ONA invests in women-led organisations that facilitate deep psychological healing as a prerequisite for leadership. By restoring the mental and emotional resilience of women, we empower them to step into their roles as primary breadwinners, community stabilisers , and key players in Track II diplomacy. When women heal, they don't just survive; they innovate, they trade, and they negotiate. We are here to ensure that the women tasked with rebuilding their countries have the psychological foundation and the economic agency to move their societies from the ruins of war to a future of sustainable, inclusive peace.
How we work
The best people to heal a community are the ones who never left it. We identify, vet and fund grassroots organisations and local NGOs in conflict zones that provide specialised psychological care, turning survivors into the economic engines of their communities.

Identification
We find local, women-led NGOs that are already deeply rooted in their communities

Investment
We provide direct funding and resources to scale trauma-informed therapy and vocational training

Transformation
Healed women return to the workforce, providing for their families and stabilising the local economy
Our Fund & Foster Model
Our Fund & Foster Hybrid Model is a sequential, holistic framework designed for sustainable empowerment.
By prioritising deep psychological healing first, we create the mental and emotional stability a woman needs to successfully retrain, enter the labour market, start enterprises, and, through continuous support, ultimately drive the macroeconomic reconstruction of her country.
Fund
The Fund pillar is about providing the financial resources required to heal, learn, and rebuild
Foster
The Foster pillar is about providing the life-long support network that guarantees long-term success
Macroeconomic Reconstruction
Healed of trauma and armed with market skills, women don't just participate in the economy - they lead their nation's macroeconomic recovery
Invest in her Resilience - From Survival to Stability
War may have stripped her of her home, her livelihood, and her peace, but it cannot strip her of her potential. ONA is dedicated to restoring what was lost - equipping the woman in the conflict zone with the psychological foundation and the strategic resources to not only recover her own life but to rise as the architect who recreates the social infrastructure and builds a modern, self-sustaing economy.
When she works, her family eats.
When she thrives, her community recovers.
An estimated 676 million women and girls now live within 50 kilometres of a deadly conflict.
When you support ONA you are saying to a woman in a conflict zone:
I see you.
I value your mind.
I believe in your hands.
